  • Who is your ideal client, and will it work for me?
    Our program is most effective for mid-senior level technology professionals. We only work with people we are confident we can help. We work with less than 20% of those we are approached by.
  • What makes your program unique?
    Everything! It is based on 25 years of evidence-based results and proven effective by thousands of people. We know what we are good at and haven’t deviated from that market for over 25 years.
  • Do you understand the technology market?
    Yes. My entire career has been within the technology arena, and I have 25 years of experience working across the whole technology landscape. I have worked directly with CEO’s, VP’s, IC’s and other mid-senior level executives.
  • Do you rewrite resumes?
    We have seen thousands over the years and offer our editing services as part of our program. However, if you are just looking for a resume rewrite, we would suggest someone who focuses solely on this.
  • How do the sessions take place?
    All sessions are through video calls.
  • How does the process work?
    We set up a free 20 minute call to discuss your situation and decide what program will work best. Once you decide to move forward, visit our website and fill out our "intake evaluation form". Send this and your most current resume to nickd@firsthired.net. You will receive an invoice for the program. We accept Venmo, Zelle, Google Pay, or Paypal, Applepay. Upon payment, you can schedule your first call via my "calendar" (HERE). This first call should be for a full hour.
  • What exactly does the program include?
    This will depend on your needs. The complete package is outlined on our site. We will be very clear what you can expect PRIOR to starting.
  • Can you help me negotiate an offer?
    Absolutely, we have done this for over 20 years and understand compensation models well.
  • Do you have references?
    Yes, we have posted a select few on our site and have many others we are always happy to share with our potential clients.
  • What if I miss a call?
    We realize things happen, and schedules change. However, out of courtesy, we would expect at least 12 hours' notice if you cannot make a call.
  • What if I cancel after we start the program?
    While this is rare, we will prorate any unused hours and offer a refund for those hours.
  • What if I need additional help once the program is completed?
    Many people find having us as trusted advisors for an extended period of time is of great value. We are happy to discuss each situation individually.
  • Do we offer guarantees?
    We guarantee that once the program is completed, you will be better prepared to compete in today's job market. We never guarantee our clients "jobs" and would caution against using anyone that does.
